09/15/2007 - Munich, Germany (Sportsbook Betting Lines) - Miroslav Klose ended a long scoring drought against Schalke, scoring his fourth goal of the season to give Bayern Munich a 1-1 tie in a battle of unbeatens on Saturday.
Klose hadn't scored against Schalke since 2001. It took him just one game with Bayern Munich - he came over from Werder Bremen in the offseason - to snap the long skid.
Klose headed home a rebound off a Luca Toni shot in the 54th, equalizing Ivan Rakitic's goal in the first half for Schalke. Klose is tied for league scoring lead, which is shared by six players.
Bayern Munich (3-0-2) maintained an edge in the standings with the point, but now leads Arminia Bielefeld and Eintracht by just one.
Schalke (1-0-4) is still struggling to pick up wins, but its four ties through five games has it sitting sixth in the standings.
Arminia Bielefeld and Eintracht kept the heat on Bayern with wins on Saturday.
Christian Eigler scored twice for Arminia Bielefeld (3-1-1) in a 4-2 win over Rostock (0-5) to keep the promoted side winless this season.
